Abstract
In this paper we formulate the position controllability problem for the movement of a flexible body in ideal fluid. We derive generic conditions under which the movement of a deformable body is position-controllable. The general theory developed in this paper is illustrated with an example of steering of a flexible domain in ideal irrotational 3-D flow.
