N2 - Phase equilibria and conjugation lines were determined in the systems ZnOCoOTiO2 and ZnONiOTiO2 at 1050°C. The free energies of formation of compounds in this system are, in kcal/mole: CoTiO3, -3·6±0·3; NiTiO3, -2·6±0·3; (ZnTiO3, +1·7±2·0); Co2TiO4, -5·9±0·4; (Ni2TiO4, -1·7±1·0); Zn2TiO4, -4·7±0·6. The spinel solid solution in the system ZnOCoOTiO2 shows marked positive deviation from ideality, and the spinel solid solution in the system ZnONiOTiO2 shows positive deviation from ideality in the Zn-rich part and negative deviation from ideality in the NiO-rich part of the solid solution.
