Performance bounds for turbo coded multiple antenna systems

Abstract

The performance bounds for the turbo coded multiple antenna systems were calculated. A method for obtaining the weight enumerating function of turbo coded multiple antenna systems was described. The method took into account the presence of transmit and receive antenna diversity. The performance of the method was compared with an iterative decoding algorithm. The results indicated the suboptimality of the iterative decoding algorithm in the case of one receive antenna.
