Abstract

The E-O characteristics of PDLC are affected strongly by refractive index-matching in ON state. Those factors causing index-mismatching have been described in this paper. A PDLC film with a high transparency in ON state is prepared by choosing proper prepolymer/LC material and cured at a suitable rate.
