On the identification and control of linear time-varying plants

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The purpose of this not is to discuss certain aspects of the identification and control problems of single-input single-output (SISO), linear time-varying (LTV) plants. An input-output (I/O framework is adopted whereby the LTV plant is described in terms of differential operators. Such a description provides a factorization of the I/O operator of the LTV plant which is convenient for parametric identification and design of 'pole-placement'-type controllers.
