Abstract

Yellow La(AuF₄)₃ was prepared for the first time in form of single crystals and investigated by X-ray methods. It crystallizes in space group R3c-D_3d⁶ (Nr. 167) with a = 1056.2(2) pm, c = 1633.7(8) pm, Z = 6.
