Abstract

The observation of a narrow baryon state during an interaction between photons and kaons with nuclear targets was discussed. The mass of the observed was found to be consistent with the mass predicted by the chiral soliton model. The analysis of the invariant mass distribution in the reaction proved the absence of resonance structures in this spectrum. The various possible channel processes were also analyzed to understand the potential production mechanisms.
