Abstract

A novel detection strategy for Earth-skimming ultrahigh energy neutrinos was presented. Neutrinos convert to charged leptons which are then detected by surface fluorescence detectors. Ultrahigh energy neutrinos are difficult to detect as they are shadowed by Earth. The detection of showers from τ decays was also considered. It was found that energy spectrum of detected events varied from source to source.
