Abstract
A unified optical-model analysis of neutron and proton elastic scattering from Mo isotopes reveals breakdowns of the Lane model of t→•T→ interactions, most clearly evident as shell effects. The puzzle is that a coupled-reaction-channel reanalysis does not remove these.
