Abstract
Image analysis can help assess changes that occur during vascular remodeling. Researchers have used multiple regression analysis to study the changes in collagen and elastin, employing a fiber-optic based laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy system. The analysis reveals that extracellular matrix protein changes during plaque growth. It was also found that spectral analysis of protein fluorescence can be used to study human tissue.
