Abstract

Techniques and methods are presented for conducting simplified power-flow calculations in power pools by employing the simultaneous computing capability of the computers in the separate areas of the pool. The emphasis of the paper is on the multiarea approach since this approach may have certain advantages over single-area methods for implementation in multicomputer configurations. Single-area methods are also presented. Computer feasibility studies have been made and are discussed.
