Abstract
A mathematical model of a deep bowl (RB) type C-E bowl pulverizer is developed. With practical applications in mind, the model is developed with compromised modeling accuracy and computational complexity. In this model, the internal structure of a pulverizer is divided into five zones. The grinding, pneumatic transport, and classification processes are considered in corresponding zones. Coal is differentiated into several size groups. Mass, temperature, and pressure variations are also taken into account based on physical principles. Simulations are also included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the model.
