Abstract
This paper presents the theory behind anticipatory data processing as applied to electric power systems. Microcomputer requirements for this task are calculated. The application of anticipatory control and data acquisition sub-systems is presented for potential inclusion in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. A summary of present SCADA system components is also presented in an Appendix.
