Abstract

From a combination of transposed temperature drop calorimetry and oxide melt solution calorimetry on a 15 mg sample of MgSiO3 (ilmenite), the enthalpy of the transition MgSiO3 (pyroxene rt arrow ilmenite) was found and used to calculate the phase diagram. -J.A.Z.
