Abstract

Asymmetries for inclusive scattering of 2.6 and 4.3 GeV polarized electrons on polarized protons were measured. These asymmetries were used to extract the structure function g1(x,Q2) for Q2 from 0.15 to 1.64 GeV2. The first moment Τ1 depended strongly on Q2, with its sign changing near Q2=0.3 GeV2.

These asymmetries were used to extract the structure function g1(x,Q2) for Q2 from 0.15 to 1.64 GeV2. The first moment Τ1 depended strongly on Q2, with its sign changing near Q2=0.3 GeV2.
