Abstract

The neutron detection efficiency in the CB NaI detector for neutrons in the range 30-250 MeV incident energy under the conditions described were measured. The features of the neutron interaction in the adjacent NaI crystals forming clusters of energized crystals were presented. A companion GEANT-based Monte Carlo study was done to simulate these reactions in the CB, and a comparison with the data is provided.
