Abstract

Some features of long time relaxation processes characteristic of glassy substances in their alpha relaxation regimes are described. The alpha -process for two fragile liquids is characterised by stress relaxation measurements. Results are compared with those from probe ion site relaxation measurements. Once the equilibrium state is established, all processes have the same activation energy. The departure from exponential relaxation behavior increases as the equilibrium state is approached. 2Ca(NO//3)//2 multiplied by (times) 3KNO//3, and 40AgI multiplied by (times) 60AgPO//3 were studied.
