Abstract

This paper traces the locus of China's local government reforms in recent years. It discusses cheir impact and searches for future directions; for further changes. The author argues (hat China's local government reforms may have come a long way, but what happens next will be more important in determining whether China's local government reforms will enjoy lasting Success.
