Abstract

The mismatch between Planck's units-10-6 g, 10-33 cm, 10-44 s, and the practical units of measurement-1 g, 1 cm, 1s, is discussed. Although Planck's units are derived from fundamental parameters appearing in the theories of physics, but when compared with practical units the mismatch is enormous. The disparity in Planck mass, length, and time is explained using proton mass, Bohr radius, and biological time scales respectively.
