Abstract

Analyses of the aperture fields, far-field radiation patterns, and mutual coupling of long leaky-wave waveguide slot antennas on the broadwall of rectangular waveguides are presented. The case of the longitudinal straight long slot mounted in an infinite ground plane is considered. The problem of a long but finite slot has been difficult to solve in the past with variational methods due to the lack of suitable trial functions. The moment method is applied to solve the problem.
