Abstract
Since 1994, the Groupe de recherche et d’intervention sociale de Montréal (GRIS-Montreal) has offered workshops on sexual orientation and gender diversity in
elementary and secondary schools. The experience acquired over time and the
research carried out by the organization have helped improve its method by, among
other things, giving tools to volunteers to help them deconstruct gender stereotypes.
Using the example of a qualitative evaluation of an activity week for primary schools,
this article presents how GRIS uses community research to adapt its work to the
needs of students.
