Wireless sensor networks (WSNs)  have been seen as a promising network infrastructure for many military applications, such as battlefield surveillance and homeland security monitoring. In those hostile tactical scenarios and important commercial applications, security mechanisms are necessary to protect WSNs from malicious attacks.
