Iterative decoders for multiuser ISI channels

Abstract

The performance of multiuser iterative decoders for inter-symbol interference (ISI) channels is investigated. It is shown that when interchannel interference (ICI) coefficients are estimated perfectly iterative decoders provide 3 dB to 3.75 dB over uncoded system which uses an optimal multiuser decoder. Results indicates that the iterative multiuser decoders provide a very reliable alternative to the conventional multiuser decoders employed for multiuser ISI channels.
