Abstract

Checkerboard metasurface is implemented on flexible curvilinear structure to investigate its performance for reducing radar cross section (RCS) of such structures. The flexible checkerboard metasurface is shaped to two different radii of cylindrical curvature for the investigation. Metasurface is evaluated under normal incidence for both polarizations (i.e. HH and VV polarizations). Simulation results are also compared with measurements of a fabricated prototype and good agreement is obtained.
