Abstract

In the past few years exciting research techniques and methodologies have emerged in neurophysiology of hearing and in psychoacoustics. A CHABA symposium was held in the fall of 1983 for the purpose of discussing the merits of these techniques and methodologies. A rationale is presented for the selection of symposium topics. An evaluation of the methodologies and techniques is offered.
