Abstract

This paper introduces the recently developed microcomputer based version of GEMS-II. GEMS-II is a network-based discrete event simulation language that was developed to model manufacturing systems. The microcomputer version is a full feature implementation of the GEMS-II language that can run small to medium size problems. This paper gives an overview of GEMS-II and describes, via an example how it can be used to build, execute and analyze models on a microcomputer.
