Abstract

According to the standard picture, charmed-hadron decays form a hierarchy, with increasing suppression (in powers of small mixing angles) as one goes from CS=1 to 0 to -1 processes. This Letter discusses several kinds of effects that might enhance the contributions from second-order suppressed anplitudes, namely, effects which involve their interference with leading amplitudes.
