Abstract

The coupling of intersubband plasmons with the dipole-allowed cascading transitions in a quantum well was analyzed. Investigations show that the coupling leads to the disappearance of the lower-energy resonance. It was found that the existence of individual plasmons and their coupling were due to the Hartee interaction. The results show that the coupling of intersubband plasmons lead to transparency in intersubband transitions.
