Abstract

A novel indexing and retrieval technique that uses vector quantization of color images is presented. Simulations are discussed that indicate superior, indexing and retrieval performance at a reduced computational complexity. Performance analysis of a variety of color images using the new technique and other techniques is also highlighted.
