Abstract

This paper deals with the incorporation of nonlinear load models in the transient energy function method. A procedure is developed to determine the stable equilibrium point and the controlling unstable equilibrium point with the nonlinear load models. The transient energy function is also modified to reflect the effects of the nonlinear loads. The proposed procedure is then tested on two test power systems.
