Abstract

The developments done on smart antennas that examine and integrate antenna array designs and beamforming were presented. In order the determine a reasonable number of elements for the array, the network throughput was analyzed. Fading and coding channel modeling was also examined in order to improve the system bir error rate (BER). The performance of a beamformed pattern of an adapted 8×8 planner array was evaluated using an LMS algorithm with BPSK modulation.
