Human factors issues in the design of handheld wireless devices

Abstract

A framework for understanding and predicting product success as a function of three fundamental characteristics is presented. The application of this framework to analyze the current state of the art in the design of handheld devices is discussed. Further, some tips and techniques for future design directions that should increase the success and adoption of future wireless devices are highlighted.
