Abstract

Time and cost have been two of the leading factors contributing to a product's success or failure in the market place. Cost to design, produce and market add to a product's success or failure. Any savings in cost or time during the design process can make the difference between success and failure. This paper deals with the concept of feedback in design that will help improve the quality of the end product. This feedback system is called Feedback for Automated Manufacturability Evaluation (FAME). With the output from FAME, the user can change the design and the manufacturing process to help reduce the cost and time in the making the component.
