Abstract

Various aspects of the geospatial information technology (IT) for mobile field data collection are discussed. It is found that the ability to interact with digital geospatial data in the field offers significant enhancements. The development of conflation software to remove the unacceptable difference in two sources such as road networks and an orthophotographs is also analyzed. The ability to combine GPS-derived positional context with geospatial data is also elaborated.
