Abstract

Living with a chronic disease - even one as controllable as diabetes - necessarily demands some modification in daily routine and in current and future expectations. Presented are the results of a study to assess the effects of juvenile diabetes on children and families, showing, among other things, that perceptions of the disease and of its consequences differ substantially between the two groups.
