Experimental study on new azo polymer film for real time holographic grating with high diffraction efficiency

Abstract

A new azo polymer has been developed. The real time holographic grating is recorded at 633 nm and can be read out by the beam with the same wavelength. High diffraction efficiency over 10% has been obtained, and large photo-induced birefringence can reach the grade of 10-3.
