Excitation of negative parity states (1-, 3-, T = 0) in 16O in inelastic alpha scattering

Abstract

The rather strong excitation of the Ex = 7.12 MeV 1-, T = 0 state in 16O by inelastic α-particle scattering, which forbidden in the long wavelength approximation, can be explained by a DWBA calculation using a microscopic form-factor generated in the framework of a 1p-1h model with 1hω excitation.
