N2 - The performance of NPC 3-level inverter (NPC-3LI) with the 240-degree Clamped PWM (240CPWM) method is comprehensively evaluated. With the 240CPWM method, the total switching losses can be drastically reduced, the loss distribution among the switch devices can be greatly evened, the dc link current ripple can be significantly reduced, and the output current THD is as good, compared to the conventional SVPWM method.
