The authors note that reference 8 in the SI Appendix appeared incorrectly. It should instead appear as: Hawaii Coral Bleaching Collaborative (2021): Hawaii Coral Bleaching Collaborative: Surveys for percent of bleached coral cover across the Hawaiian Archipelago from August 27 to December 7, 2019 (https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/inport/item/59191). In the SI Appendix, page 3, third full paragraph, line 2, "Coral bleaching data were provided by Winston et al.
