Abstract

Entering a new, unstructured community is faciliated when existing members embrace the thoughts, ideas, and experiences of new members. Watson's Caring Healing Model, including the caritas conscious and transpersonal caring components, provides a framework for understanding the experience of being a new community member (eg, a “newbie”) in the Global Nursing Exchange.
