Energy relaxation to acoustic phonons in quasi-two-dimensional semiconductors

Abstract

The rate of energy relaxation of warm carrier to the lattice via acoustic phonons is calculated assuming degenerate statistics. It is found that the form of the relaxation rate is relatively insensitive to the detailed form of the distribution.
