Abstract

The electronic and vibronic coupling of a special pair of Bacteriochlorophylls (Bchls) in photosynthetic reaction centres (RC) were presented. Vibrational spectroscopy was used to explore the Bchls and the surrounding protein in the RC. The mutation of Arg L135 and Arg L164 altered the spin distribution in the Bchls pair. The analysis showed that the mutation affected the vibrational spectra of the Bchls pair.
