Abstract

High efficient blue electrophorescence by charge trapping on guest molecules of FIr6 doped into the wide-energy-gap hosts UGH1 and UGH2 was demonstrated. The EL of FIr6 in a host-guest system was noticeably "bluer" in color at (0.16,0.26) than the previously studied phosphorescent blue emitter iridium(III)bis[4,6-difluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C2′]picolinate (FIrpic), which has CIE coordinates of (0.16, 0.37)2.
