Efficient, accurate solutions for photonic crystal waveguide modes and coupling

Abstract

We obtain analytic solutions for the dispersion of photonic crystal waveguides and the coupling strength between parallel waveguides. They are well-suited for designing and optimizing structures. Our results agree well with full simulations.
