Abstract
A lumped analytical equivalent circuit model for a waveguide-mounted Gunn oscillator is used to show the effects on the impedance of the microwave structure due to the variation of waveguide height dimensions and the size and the location of the gap in the tuned post. The influence of the reflection coefficient of the waveguide sliding short on the loading due to the microwave structure at the device terminal is also discussed.
