Abstract
A report is presented on earth systems engineering. It is regarded as the study and practice of engineering human technology systems and related elements of natural systems. It is reported that earth systems engineering cannot be implemented practically because there are powerful psychological and cultural barriers to seeing the world as a human artifact necessitating a program of earth systems engineering.
