Abstract

Novel deterministic channel estimation and symbol recovery algorithms are proposed for the identification and equalization of time- and frequency- selective channels where the time variation is modeled by a Fourier basis expansion. The resulting algorithms employ a generalized Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) precoding scheme, require few data points to be operational and yield near-perfect estimates at high SNRs. Simulations illustrate the approach.
