Abstract

A new precision measurement of the quadratic slope parameter α was made based on 1.9 X 107η mesons produced in a two week run in 1998 with the Crystal Ball (CB) detector. The process π-p → nη → n3π0 → n6γ was identified by analyzing the neutral, six-cluster events detected in the CB. The results were compared with the related case of KL → 3π0.
