Abstract

An expert subsystem forms the basis for providing the DSS user with augmented opportunity, problem and crisis recognition. This paper presents a multi-domain oriented expert subsystem design. The design includes a question-answer analyzer based on production rules invoking models of reasoning and rule-based inference. An application of the methodology described is given in domain of strategic planning.
