Abstract
Several new cycloartane glycosides were isolated from rhizomes of Curculigo orchioides. Among them, two new triterpenoidal sapogenins named curculigenin B and C, which are common to three saponins, were formulated as (24S)-3β,11α,16β,24-tetrahydroxycycloartane and 3β,11α,16β-trihydroxycycloartane-24(25)-en, respectively, by 1H, 2C NMR, 2D NMR analysis and chemical evidence. The structures of curculigosaponin K, L and M were elucidated on the basis of chemical methods and spectral data.
